Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian Forest visitor centre in
mid-Wales
Wild Red Kites are aed on a daily
basis at the Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian Forest visitor
centre in mid-Wales. The forestry commission has
opened a brand new eco-friendly information
centre at this location. There is excellent
wheelchair access on site and disabled toilet
facilities.
This is as good as the Gigrin
farm kite feeding station in Rhayader and well
worth a visit by members who happen to be in the
mid-Wales area.
The Forest centre is located
about 10 miles from the university town of
Aberystwyth just off the A.44 road. There is a
cafe in the information centre which provides
light refreshments. The kites are fed daily at
3.00pm in the summer months and 2.00pm in the
winter. There is an excellent children’s
adventure play area on site and for the more
active there are marked walking and mountain
bike tracks.
Regular Wildlife Safaries are run
by the below mentioned who is investigating
accessible transport so that dba members can
take part:
