Snettisham RSPB Reserve - Norfolk.

There is a website that has access details for this site - but to ensure that a blue badge holder can drive to the hides please ring the warden the night before a visit or the gate will be locked:

"Drive past the RSPB car park and turn left by Snettisham beach caravan park (club and shop on your right) bear right just after the caravan park entrance along an unmetalled road ( orange on the map). Follow this road through the chalets and caravans, you will see the sailing club on your right.The road then runs alongside the first pit with chalets on your right. In summer, because of the holiday chalets, this pit is largely uninhabited, however in the winter look out for Goldeneye, Pochard, Smew and Red-breasted Merganser..."

Please send A4 SAE to RSPB, 43, Lynn Road, Snettisham, Norfolk PE31 7LR. They will send a permit (valid for 3 months) and directions to drive through chalets and along the sea wall to a parking area close to first hide. Wheelchair path between first and second hide and wheelchair bays in both hides...
